A short tryst of reverie

A short tryst of reverie,
Down the lane of memory
they sat in contentment
In silence of their preference.

Beneath the stars by the woods
Dwelt in their deeds of goods.
Laughing in the moment so bliss,
Unaware of world’s prejudice.

In hope to stay the night
and waking up to sunlight
Hoping for a wishing star
To fly them a place afar .

As sudden as it happened
Their reverie was shattered
With a horn blown by near
Everything was crystal clear.
